Serving Size : 4
Preparation Time :0:05
1 can peas
2 tablespoons margarine or butter
4 slices bread
1 dash salt
1 dash pepper
Heat peas with their juice in saucepan over med-high heat or even high if you keep a relatively constant eye on it.
While peas are cooking, evenly spread approximately one-half tablespoon of margarine or butter on one side of the bread. Flop each slice of bread - buttered side up - on a plate.
When peas come to a boil remove from heat. Spread peas on each piece of bread and dump juice over bread making sure to soak the outer crust.
Sprinkle with salt and pepper. Eat immediately; this dish is best when hot.
