1 lb Hamburger
1 Onion -- cut in cubes
4 Mushrooms -- cut in strips
1 24 oz can of red kidney beans
6 cups V8
1 tablespoon parsley
1 teaspoon red pepper
1/2 teaspoon chili powder
1 tablespoon crushed red peppers
1 dash black pepper - to taste.
Fry up burger and onions in the bottom of a stew pot. When the burger is browned, drain off the fat and dump in the remaining ingredients. Bring mixture to a boil, then turn down to simmer for at least an hour - this to extract as much flavor as possible from the peppers. You may want to vary the peppers to suit your own tastes.
Suggested Beer: Cold and from a brown bottle.
