The Real Man's Cookbook
Welcome to the Real Man's Cookbook. Where you will find that cooking is not just for the ladies anymore.
This site is laid out for your convenience. You can read it straight through like a book by using the "next page" tabs at the bottom of each page, or you may use the tabs to the right to take you to the section in which you are most interested. recipes and subchapters will be listed in the gray column.
The information you find here will not always be politically correct, but it will be accurate and what is more, useful not only in cooking but in your interface with female society. Understand cooking as a sport and impress the woman in your life with minimal labor at the same time.
You really should read the Introduction not only does it go in-depth into what this site is all about, but it also will give you some insight to the sport of baseball and why you should bother to cook at all.
General Notes describes the basics you need to know in order to cook. There are also some keen observations on the tools of the trade.
Beef - Yes, after this chapter all others seem superfluous. Beef is the real man's food of choice, and we have a few recipes that you can sink your teeth into.
Chicken - This comprehensive guide to chicken preparation is all you need to get mouths watering.
Other White Meats - include pork, turkey, lamb and tuna. Okay, they aren't all white meats, but they all taste good when properly prepared.
Vegetables and Salads don't have to be boring. They are a vital part of any diet and since you have to eat them on occasion you may as well check out this section.
Soups and Sandwiches this is mostly lunch stuff, but you will find some recipes that go well with dinner as well.
The Pasta chapter also contains starches, which I take to mean mainly potatoes. It really is a manly chapter. Got to check it out.
I have been told that I wimped out on desserts. So far that is true. I am still developing some recipes to go in this chapter, but it is so hard to find a dessert that tastes well smothered in cream of mushroom soup.
Probably the best Cookbook for both fresh and seasoned cooks has got to be The Better Homes and Gardens New Cookbook. It has great recipes, from chicken and dumplings to white sauces. If you can't find what you are looking for here, you might want to think about picking up a copy at Amazon.
