Six Hour Stew

1 1/2 pounds beef round
6 potatoes
4 carrots
4 mushrooms -- fresh
1 can stewed tomatoes
1 can green beans
1/4 cup tapioca
1 dash pepper
1 tablespoon garlic powder
1 tablespoon parsley

Cut the beef into chunks. Toss them into a dutch oven or some kind of covered baking dish. Add potatoes, carrots, sliced mushrooms. Dump cans of tomatoes and green beans over the top and then mix in the minute tapioca and spices. Cover; stick whole into the oven for five or six hours. Tastes great alone or can be served over bread.
